Distance and proximity - for voice and laser telemeter

As a way of making the benign architecture of the concert hall appear, baritone singer Victor Kassebeer walks around in the concert hall while measuring the various distances and dimensions of the hall using a laser telemeter.

The various numerical distances between singer and walls, the grand piano, the PA system (etc) are then translated into tones by singing the numbers in Danish corresponding with their placement on a major scale - 1 being the ‘root - also, as away to soften up the concept of sonification the singer includes a poem written by NLL (from Uddrag).

Distance and proximity - an attempt to scramble the notion of acoustic sweet spots, silence, acoustic neutrality and the fixated performing body, thereby surrecting the background -making it appear.
