Subwarp and hyperwoof (2026)
tissue-making for solo double bass
Composed for Thora Kidon Jæger
Warp and woof refers to the foundational threads in weaving—lengthwise (warp) and crosswise (woof)—that create the fabric. Metaphorically, it represents the underlying structure, essential base, or fundamental texture of any entity, such as society, an idea, or a person's life.
Within the performance the double bass is saturated with bows woven into each other - thereby weaving new tissue onto the double bass body or even entering the inside of the existing body.
