On the effects of light on the skin - softening No. 6 (2023)
In 1903 Niels Ryberg Finsen was awarded the Nobe Prize in Medicine “in recognition of his contribution to the treatment of diseases, especially lupus vulgaris, with concentrated light radiation, whereby he has opened a new avenue for medical science”.
Om Lysets Indvirkninger paa Huden (On the effects of light on the skin) was published in 1893 by Finsen as part of this work.
In the softening no. 6 the grand piano body, is undergoing light therapy as a way to eliminate cancerous pathogens as well as dissolve ectoplasms through the exposure of bright light.
